We had such a great Christmas. After nearly a month Brandon got to come home...Woo-Hoo! We all missed him so much. And, I couldn't believe we woke up to so much snow on Christmas Day! After seeing what Santa brought we had to all go out and play. Abby loved it, but I think Campbell would have rather stayed inside. Now, we are off to California to spend a week with Brandon!! Happy New year!!

I finally got all 4 of my Christmas trees up...What Was I Thinking!!! I did one in Abby and Campbell's room, one in the living room and a Bama tree in the office. The Bama tree turned out really cute, even though I hate the actual tree (a $35 special from Wal-Mart). I am already dreading taking it all down. And, yes we already have presents under the tree. Brandon had to do some early Christmas shopping since he had to leave town for work and won't be home until Christmas.

I love Halloween, but this one proved to be a bit tiring. After Abby's party on Friday, carving pumpkins, and trick or treating both nights, I was a tiny bit glad Halloween was over.....Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!

We have had alot going on lately!! Over the fall break we took a beach trip with my friend Amanda and her kiddos. Brandon took off to keep Campbell, which made it alot easier on me. We had a fun time and the kids really enjoyed playing with each other. And, thanks to Allie (AKA little momma) Abby was more than occupied!

We also went to the scarecrow trail at the Botanical Gardens the weekend before. We bought an annual pass this year and really enjoy visiting.

Today was Abby's first day back to school. Both she and I were very excited. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Amber. I play bunco with Amber and she is such a sweet person. We were so glad to hear that Abby was going to be in her class.

A fun week with the kids

Last week Brandon took off and we did some fun stuff with the kids. At the last minute we decided to take a trip to Gatlinburg over the 4th of July weekend. It was a fun trip but we will never go back during a holiday. It took us 7 hours to get there and we fought traffic all weekend...not fun when you have 2 kids in the back seat!! After we got back, we went to the botanical gardens for the 2nd time this year. This time Abby wore her bathing suit so she could get wet. On Friday, Abby and I went to see Toy Story 3.....soooo cute! And, on Saturday afternoon we took Abby to the kiddie carnival in Athens. This week it will be back to cleaning, cooking (which I did none of last week), lots of laundry and taking care of the kiddos on my own. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

On Saturday we decided to take Abby to the tree houses at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Despite having to take cover in one of the tree houses during a brief shower, we really enjoyed our time there. It is such a beautiful place and we plan to visit again in the fall when they have the scarecrow trail!

This was the Wizard of Oz tree house. I thought it was really neat, although Abby really didn't get it because she has never seen the movie.

Here are a few sweet pictures of my girls at the same age-around 91/2
months. Campbell is really starting to change. For the first few months I could not tell her baby pictures apart from Abby's. Campbell is my dark hair/dark eye/dark complexion child and Abby favors me with the blonde hair/blue eyes and fair skin.

Look at my sweet Abby! I can't believe this was 4 years ago. Notice the frilly outfit and bow....well not anymore with the 2nd child! On Tuseday I had to carry Campbell to the doctor and while taking her clothes off for them to weigh her, I noticed her clothes were on backwards, and yes we had been gone all morning running from place to place! So, not only did Campbell miss out on the frills, but she doesn't even get to wear her clothes the right way!

Abby's last day of school was Wednesday. She had a great year and an awesome teacher!! She is writing her first and last name, all letters of the alphabet, and numbers 1-20....I am so proud of her! She won't start school in the fall, so we will be in pre-k next year. After another year I think she will be more than ready for Kindergarten!

We spent last week at the beach. Minus an emergency room visit (Angela had a kidney stone) in Montgomery and the kids getting sunburned the first day (and, yes they had lots of sunscreen) we had a great time and didn't want to come home!

We are so excited about the game tonight!! Our nights are sometimes hectic, so we have had to put a plan in place to be in front of the TV tonight at 7:00....both kids are skipping their baths and will have their pajamas on ready for bed!! Campbell will be in bed by 8:00 and hopefully Abby will skip her nap today and go to bed early and MAYBE we can watch most of the game without interruption. Maybe by this time tomorrow Alabama will be National Champions!! ROLL TIDE!

It makes me sad that she no longer looks like a newborn. She is such a good baby. She eats well, sleeps well, and for the most part never cries unless she is hungry or needs changing. What an interesting week!! I have been trying to go back to the gym a few times a week. I have really missed going and was glad to get back. But, last Sunday night I was driving home and came upon a deer standing on the side of the road. I was driving at a speed to where I couldn't just stop so, I held onto the wheel and closed my eyes and braced myself for whatever was going to happen. Poor little thing (well, not really) decided to run smack into my car. I opened my eyes and was still on the road, so that was a relief. But, I knew I had hit it pretty hard and had to have alot of damage to my car. So, a little shaken, I reached down to get my cell to call Brandon to tell him what had just happened, and it was missing from my cupholder (the usual spot). Thank goodness I was able to drive home because I could have easily been stranded if I had ran off the road. Well, my bumper had to be replaced and I was out a vehicle all week. Thankfully, Brandon had taken a vacation week this week and we were able to drive his truck all week. The poor little deer caused $1200.00 worth of damage to my car. Thank Goodness for Insurance!!

Campbell Reese

I just wanted to post a few pictures of the newest addition to our family. Campbell Delaney Reese was born on September 2, at 8:47 am. She weighed 8lbs and 7 ozs and is doing great. She is eating really well and is sleeping a pretty good bit at night! She has been getting up only once in the middle of the night and then up again around 5:00a.m.-6:oo a.m. We are trying to increase her formula intake so maybe she will go a little longer. Abby is doing well with her, although she never wants to leave her side. We went for a checkup yesterday and poor Abby was so worried we were going to have to leave her. So far, she has been a big help and is going to be a great big sister!

I went to the doctor yesterday and they scheduled a c-section for Wednesday, September 2. I am glad it is scheduled, but really wished it was sooner. Two weeks is a long time when you have been pregnant since last Christmas!! I am also scheduled for a possible tubal.....which means no more babies for us! I can change my mind at any time, but I think we are positive (if this baby is healthy at birth) we don't want any more little ones. I think two (especially being girls) is enough....we don't want to be outnumbered.

I really don't think it has hit me or Brandon that we are about to have 2 kids. Abby has been the only child for so long. I am sure it is going to be a big adjustment for all of us!!

Abby's 1st day of school was on Wednesday. She was excited about going back, but when we got there she was a little clingy. I guess it was the new teacher and new faces she saw when she walked in. When I picked her up she was all smiles, and she told me she had a fun day. I am so glad she enjoys going to school!

34 Weeks!!!

Iwent to the Doctor today for my 34 week appointment (although I will be 35 weeks on Monday). Everything is looking good, and I feel like this baby is no longer kicking but rolling around in my stomach. It is amazing to sit and watch my stomach change shapes when she moves around. I go back in 2 weeks and I think they are going to do an ultrasound and check the postion/size of the baby and hopefully schedule my c-section!

28 weeks!!

Yesterday I went for my 28 week appointment and everything is going well. I am starting to have trouble sleeping at night and I am tired by the end of the day, but other than that I feel pretty good. We also had a 4D ultrasound yesterday. It was amazing!!! We got so many good pictures. We had the 4D with Abby, but she didn't want to cooperate and was almost too large to do a 4D. We got lots of facial shots with this baby and we even got a few shots of her "Girly Parts". When I got home I pulled out Abby's 4D pictures to compare. They really look alot alike!
Everyone keeps asking me is Abby excited about the baby. Well, I believe she will be when it gets here, but for now she is just worried about the baby taking her toys. She keeps asking me when we are going to Babies R Us to buy the baby her own toys. She also knows her birthday is coming up right after the baby gets here. I think she is more concerned about herself than getting a new baby sister, which is okay.

Countdown to Disney!

In 3 days we are leaving for Disney World!! We are so excited, especially Abby. We went last May and had so much fun. We were planning on going again this May but when we found out about me being pregnant we decided to go a little earlier! We also figured we better go this year because taking a baby to Disney World is out of the question (for us anyway)!! Hopefully, Abby will cooperate as well as she did last year and it will be a fun trip!

It looks like Abby is going to get a new baby brother or sister this year. I am 12 weeks along (as of today) and everything is going great. Most days I don't even feel pregnant, and I am still in my regular clothes (which was not the case with Abby). Abby is very excited and keeps telling me that it is a girl, but I think we are having a boy. She also keeps lifting her shirt up and asking "do I have a baby in my tummy". Bless her heart, she is is so confused! My due date is September 8th, but hopefully the baby will come in August so we don't have 2 September birthdays.

Well, I realized last night that I have been away for a while. December was such a busy month. I felt as if I had somewhere to be or something to do every day. I say every year that I am not going to let the holidays get to me, but every year I feel like celebrating on December 26th. We did have a little bit of down time over the holidays. A few days before Christmas, Brandon and I went to Nashville (alone) for a few days. It was our gift from my parents. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel for 2 nights, saw the rockettes (awesome!!), shopped, and went on the ICE tour (not so awesome-too cold and mainly for kids). We had such a great time. That was so much better than any material thing they could have bought us.

Christmas was not so bad this year. My parents and brother came over Christmas morning to eat breakfast, but other than that we did nothing. Usually, we are running around crazy trying to make it every where, but not this year. I think I am spoiled!! Santa was also very good to Abby. She got her Sleeping Beauty vanity that she has been wanting for 3 months. She loves it -for now!! It has not moved from our living room since Christmas Eve. I know the minute I take it back to the play room it will never be touched again. After Chrismas was over, everything seemed to get a lot less hectic. We stayed at home for New Year's, went to a few movies (which we NEVER do) and enjoyed some time at home. Anyway, maybe since the holiday season is over I will have a little more computer time!!

Here are a few pictures from Abby's fall celebration at school. This year they got to dress up, which was alot of fun for the kids. They had McDonalds for lunch and then they did a candy swap. She got sooo much candy. I am not sure we even need to go trick or treating tonight-HAHA!

When we got home, I attempted to carve a pumpkin. Abby was going to help until she realized how messy it was going to get. Don't laugh (or look too closely) at the pumpkin -It was freehanded! As you can see I am no artist! I will try to post some more pictures of tonight later this weekend. Abby will be dressed as Tinkerbell and is going trick or treating with her cousins.

I just wanted to wish Abby a happy 3rd birthday! Since her party is not until next week we went ahead and let her open the presents from us. She got a Graco baby play set that came with a stroller, carrier, swing, and high chair-which she really loves. Yes, we have to make sure we take care of the babies. They go everywhere with us. They even get their own seat when we go out to eat. I am afraid that one day Abby is going to ask us to buy them a meal-HAHA!! She also got a sleeping bag which I thought was really cute, but she looked at it like "what is this?". It occurred to me that she has probably never seen a sleeping bag. But, I think she likes it because she is curled up on the couch in it. We also all got to eat princess cupcakes after dinner tonight. I hope she had a fun day and a happy birthday.

We went to the beach last week and had a great time, even though 2 days were spoiled due to Tropical Storm Fay. We went to Margaritaville one night to eat and a guy on stilts made Abby a balloon hat, which she wore all night. We love the beach and can't wait to go back, just not when there is a tropical storm to deal with.

Abby started school on Monday. She is going three days a week this year. She done very well her first day. I think she was ready to go back. Most of the kids in her class were in her class last year. They are also in the new building this year which is very nice and much like a little school!

Well, I finally had pictures of Abby made about a week ago. I love taking pictures of her at home, but haven't had her pictures taken professionally since before she turned two. Of course, I had to choose the hottest day of summer. We did them outside, so poor little Abby's natural curly hair frizzed up the moment we got out of the car. We got such a kick out of watching Abby play in this pool. She has not been use to swimming in a kiddie pool. She kept wanting to run and jump in holding her nose. We were afraid she was going to get hurt, but it was so funny we couldn't stop her from doing it a few times.

So much has been going on lately. We finally got moved into our new house. WE LOVE IT!! It is so roomy and we are able to spread out. Abby has moved to a big girl bed which she really likes and until another little bundle of joy comes along, she also has her own playroom. I love having all the space, but not sure how much I will love cleaning it.

We also had 4th of July at Daniel and Angela's house. We ate, shot fireworks and all the kids played. And, Abby is finally potty trained (I think). So, for her treat we made a trip to Libby Lu!

For the past few weeks Abby has been wearing "big girl underwear" and has been doing so good on the potty. I didn't use any incentive to try to get her to go to the potty except to tell her we would go back to Libby Lu (she went one other time and LOVED it). So, last Thursday we went and she had so much fun. She even had to sleep with her Libby Lu bag and all her goodies!

House Update

Well after this week our house will finally be finished. We have plans to move the weekend of July 4th. We are so ready to get out of the apartment. I didn't know when we started all of this how much we would miss having a house. I am looking forward to having a garage to park my car and a laundry room that is separate from the kitchen (yes, the little things). I know Abby is looking forward to playing outside. We have promised her when we get settled we will get her a swing set for back yard. And, I think Brandon is even looking forward to yard work once again!

Under Construction....

As most of you know, we are building a new house. We are about 4-5 weeks away from it being completed -Thank Goodness! Of all the rooms in the house, Abby's room has been the most stressful. In the last week her room has been 2 different colors. It is still the wrong color! I guess I am going to have to paint it before we move in. I have also had to send back 2 sets of bedding for her room, and I have now ordered the third set. Maybe it will work. I have had a hard time finding bedding that I am happy with and getting a wall color to match the bedding and look good with our trim. Brandon tells me I am too picky, but I can't help it!

Disney World!!

We just got back from Disney World. We had such a great time. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back. I have to admit we were a little nervous about taking Abby at such a young age, but boy was she a trooper! I don't think there was anything that we didn't get to do (except go on the adult rides). She was able to meet all the Disney characters and the princesses. We were also able to spend a day at Seaworld. I am ready to go back!!
